Developing potentials of geodata better through cooperations; [Potenziale von Geodaten durch Kooperationen besser erschließen]
Keywords:
Geodata, Data Sharing, Cooperation, GIS, Interoperability, Geospatial Information, Data GovernanceAbstract
This article explores how cooperation can help organisations realise more value from geodata. Geographic datasets often come from different owners and systems, and their usefulness can be limited when access, standards or responsibilities are unclear. Collaboration can support data sharing, reduce duplicated effort and make it easier to combine information for planning and analysis. Shared approaches require attention to data quality, interoperability, governance and the needs of different users. By improving access to relevant geospatial information, organisations may develop services and decisions that are more informed and efficient. The topic highlights cooperation as an organisational as well as a technical requirement for unlocking the potential of geodata.
