Abstract

The article “Augmented Reality in the Mobile Web” examines the use of augmented reality technologies within mobile web environments and their potential for presenting geographic and location-based information. The combination of mobile devices, web technologies and spatial information creates new possibilities for users to access digital information while interacting with their surrounding environment.

Mobile web applications can provide geographic information through portable devices, while augmented reality can add digital content to the user's view of the physical environment. This approach can make spatial information more interactive and provide new ways of presenting locations, objects and other geographically referenced information.

The article highlights the relationship between mobile web technologies and geoinformatics. As mobile devices become increasingly capable of processing and displaying geographic information, web-based applications can provide access to spatial services without relying solely on traditional desktop systems.

The integration of augmented reality with mobile web applications represents an evolving area within digital geoinformation. By combining location-based information, mobile connectivity and interactive visualization, these technologies can support new forms of accessing and presenting geographic information. The article therefore discusses augmented reality as an emerging component of the mobile web and its relevance to the development of future location-based applications.
