Abstract

The article “E-Government in Agriculture” examines the use of digital government services and information technologies in the agricultural sector. The increasing use of digital systems can provide new ways for agricultural information and services to be managed, accessed and delivered to farmers, administrative bodies and other stakeholders.

Geographic Information Systems can play an important role in this environment by providing tools for managing and visualizing geographically referenced agricultural information. Spatial data can support the understanding of agricultural areas, land use and other location-related aspects of agricultural management.

The article highlights the potential of integrating digital government approaches with agricultural information systems. Online services can improve the accessibility of information and provide more efficient channels for communication between public authorities and users in the agricultural sector. When combined with geospatial technologies, these services can also make location-based information easier to organize and access.

The discussion places e-government within the broader development of digital agriculture and geoinformatics. The use of digital platforms, spatial information and online services can contribute to more structured information management and improved access to agricultural services. The article therefore illustrates the growing relationship between e-government, GIS and the digital transformation of agricultural administration.
